Cinematic

Cinematic is a 9-piece eyewear collection inspired by iconic characters in cinema. In the development phase of the design process, different characters were assigned to the collections product categories and were used as muses for the conceptualisation of the styles. Working with a muse from the big screen allowed us to tailor our designs to their personality and associated colour palette to their styling. The styles ranged from ‘The Supervillain’ that was fueled with machine and gadget like features to ‘The Drama Queen’ that was dressed up and would feel at home in a Hitchcock movie.

Brighton based Owen Davey was approached to visualise the styles into individual illustrations. Bringing in his unique style he captured the movie icons wearing the eyewear using snapshots from possible movie scenes. The result is strong colourful representations of the characters giving the frames a personality and profile.
