DESIGN

I was invited to design a 9-piece eyewear collection for ic! berlin’s luxury brand ONONO - the very few. This would be the final collection of 15 over a 20-year existence.
The frames were hand made from the long horns of Indian Oxes, this material has been used for centuries to create bespoke luxury spectacles. The material’s durability means that a frame can last a lifetime. Each piece unique to its individual handmade qualities and natural horn pattern. I approached the collection with the intention to design classic timeless pieces with modern expressions. To achieve this I played with deeper proportions and tinted lenses along with subtle hints to new trends in the eyewear industry.
The collection was skillfully handmade in the Berlin and presented at leading eyewear fairs globally including Silmo Paris, Mido Milan, Expo East New York and IOFT Tokyo.
